Privacy Policy

Developer Note: Not Yet Legally Reviewed
This document is drafted from the site's actual technical behavior (the forms, file uploads and third party services it uses) but has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Have it reviewed by qualified legal counsel for your jurisdiction before this page is relied upon publicly.
This policy explains what information WordsWorth Publishers collects through this website, why we collect it, and how it's handled. It covers our contact form, our consultation form, and the third party services those forms rely on to function.
We collect only what these forms ask for: we do not run advertising trackers, sell data to third parties, or collect information beyond what's needed to respond to your enquiry.
1. Information We Collect
Our contact form collects: your name, email address, working title (optional), genre (optional), and your message.
Our consultation form (used across service pages) collects: your name, email address, phone number (optional), the service you're enquiring about, book genre (optional), project stage (optional), your message, and an optional file attachment (such as a manuscript sample or outline).
We do not collect payment information, government identification, or any information beyond what these two forms explicitly ask for.
2. Contact & Consultation Forms
When you submit either form, your information is recorded in a private server log and, when email delivery is configured, sent as an email notification to our team via Gmail's SMTP service. The log file is not accessible from the public internet.
Both forms include a hidden "honeypot" field and a minimum submission time check purely to filter automated spam submissions; these do not track you or collect additional personal information.
3. File Uploads
The consultation form allows an optional file attachment (PDF, Word, RTF or plain text, up to 15MB). Uploaded files are validated for type and size, stored on our server under a randomly generated filename (never the name of the file you uploaded), and are not accessible from the public internet.
If email delivery is configured, your uploaded file is also attached to the internal notification email sent to our team.
4. Cookies
This site uses a single session cookie (set automatically by our server) to support form functionality: specifically, to redisplay your entered information if a form submission needs correction, and as part of our spam prevention timing check. This cookie is deleted when you close your browser and is not used for advertising or cross site tracking.
We do not currently use marketing, advertising or third party tracking cookies on this site.
5. Analytics
At the time of writing, this site does not have a third party analytics service (such as Google Analytics) installed. If that changes in the future, this policy will be updated to name the service used and what it collects before it goes live.
6. How We Use Your Information
Information submitted through our forms is used solely to respond to your enquiry, evaluate your project, and, if you go on to become a client, deliver the service you've requested. We do not use form submissions for unsolicited marketing, and we do not sell or rent your information to third parties.
7. Data Retention
Submission records and uploaded files are retained on our server for as long as reasonably needed to respond to your enquiry and, where a project proceeds, for the duration of that project plus a reasonable administrative period afterward. If you'd like your information deleted sooner, contact us using the details below and we will action that request.
8. Third Party Services
Email delivery: form notifications are sent via Google's Gmail SMTP service, meaning the content of your submission passes through Google's infrastructure to reach our inbox.
Fonts: this site loads typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). Loading a font from Google's servers means your browser makes a direct request to Google, which may log standard technical information such as your IP address, in line with Google's own privacy policy.
We do not use any other third party service to process the personal information submitted through our forms.
9. Data Security
Submission logs and uploaded files are stored outside of any publicly accessible web directory and are blocked from direct web access at the server level. No online storage of personal data is completely risk free, and we take reasonable, industry standard precautions to protect what you share with us.
10. Your Rights
You may ask us what information we hold about you, request a correction, or request deletion, by contacting us using the details below. Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under applicable law; this section will be expanded following legal review to reflect the specific jurisdictions we serve.
11. Changes to This Policy
If we change what information we collect or how we use it, we'll update this page and revise the "Last updated" date at the top. We encourage checking back periodically.
